Living in Marina City may drive me up a wall a good portion of the time, but there’s one thing that always clears my mind: a walk along the 61st floor roofdeck. Oddly enough, a high-speed, thirty-second elevator ride from the lobby to 550 feet above ground level is the best way I know to stay grounded. Take a circular stroll with me around the 360-degree path with panoramic views of downtown Chicago and find out what truly keeps me in the corncobs.
(Video: When I need to get above the fray, it takes about 550 feet–straight up.)

I can’t believe they let you up there.
I really like the skyview of downtown Chgo, but no one could pay me to be up there. 😛
where’s the lawn furniture .. looks to easy to jump after a few cocktails
Yikes!
Isn’t it kinda scary up there?? I mean don’t you get that queasy feeling in your stomach as you get closer to the edge of the roof?
But, what a view! Wow. And, what a beautiful Chicago afternoon. You’ve got quite a city there.
I think I’d be terrified yet thrilled at the same time.
Amazing. I’ve often wondered what it’s like up there.
