The Blogger Walrus
I’ve been invited to be a key part of the coolest Windy City blogging project ever. Unfortunately I can’t tell you a thing about it, other than to say Yours Truly is modestly but officially a professional blogger now. But if you want more details, watch the video and follow my eyes… And if you want the backstory, read my 2006 post, Fear of Falling.
(Video: I’ve got a secret.)
Because that’s how I feel right now about this opportunity and the wonders that this blog and my much-appreciated regular readers add to my life on a daily basis. To all of you, thank you. I’ll be here as long as you’ll have me.

Oasis Cafe may not be in the Wabash Jewelers Mall anymore, but Suleiman Ahmed still makes the best--and cheapest--falafel in the Loop. I said so last month here on Carless. And I'm happy to say so again, in this week's issue of Time Out Chicago.
This Thursday, June 12, I will join leading Chicago bloggers (including Andrew Huff from the venerable GapersBlock) for a discussion panel at Community Media Workshop's 2008 Making Media Connections conference.
Yesterday, while I was engrossed along with the rest of the planet in the historic inauguration of President Barack Hussein Obama, I was stopped in my tracks by a visit to the White House homepage. It's nifty, new, and finally Web 2.0.

Congratulations!
I want to know more…now Mike, now Mike.
Congratulations!
I got it! Now! Chicago! And congratulations!
Thanks you guys!
