I guess the only question left, then, is whether or not he’ll be willing to talk to the feds when he gets convicted or whether he’ll take the position of “silence is [bleep]ing golden”. Considering the number of people he must of collaborted with, I hope he talks.

I for one have a half-brained theory as to why Blago went on his infamous media blitz. Basically, he wants to be able to say “I can’t get a fair trial” (a la O.J. Simpson) once his criminal trial gets rolling. Perhaps he thinks that that one little statement will get him a mistrial or something.

ChgoSaint, I heard that. Much as I wish major media would let the Blago story die along with his political career, I think the consolation is that he won’t have anything new to say.

His one-note, raving lunatic interviews are what keep earning him joke-buttdom on TV. I don’t expect Blago to act any differently on Letterman.

Expect him to be a Letterman punch line the following night.
