I grew up in the Back of the Yards and can remember a lot of the same things. We were liberated every Wednesday when the publics came to learn about God (I thought everyone had Nuns for teachers until I was in third grade). My family was the one that added the aroma of polish sausage and cabage to the neighborhood. Thanks for the memories.
