Whither the Weather Drama King

(Photo: How many times have you wanted to wag your finger at Tribune weatherman Tom Skilling? Credit: NIU Office of Public Affairs.) Ordinarily I find the snark over at Chicagoist a bit too overbearing even for me (yes, me)....

It sounds like she has Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)A light box might make the days of winter a little more bearable for her and her column a little more cheery.

The only problem is the usual lack of full spring/fall weather and the abruptness of Winter's onset. But this year we've had some really nice fall weather. I'm from Florida of all places and haven't thought the winters were crazy or anything. Although my wife, a native, thinks I've gotten off easy the past 4 years. Anyway, it just sounds like a case of lazyasswriter syndrome.

I'll take our summer, spring, and especially fall over any other city.

We only have to endure 1-2 measureable snowfalls per season. And it seems to snow less and less each year.

I'm glad the perception is still there though, it keeps the narrow minded out.
