Chicago Magazine’s October 2006 article on Gary Kimmel, containing several quotes from Yours Truly and lots of, um, enlightening background information on the erstwhile dentist, can now be read for free, in its entirety, on the Chicago Magazine website, at this link.

Today, unbeknownst to Yours Truly, a quote from Chicago Carless calling for the resignation of scandal-dogged Chicago Police Department superintendent Phil Cline was featured in the Opinion section of the Chicago Tribune. That's neat, because before Noon today, Phil Cline did just that.
Ten days ago, when I lamented the over-the-top response of Chicagoist and some of their readers to my Gapers Block piece on how Intelligentsia Coffee alienated me as a customer, I never thought Intelligentsia's own staff would jump on the bandwagon.
